Family Ministries
Family ministries are very important at Epworth, vital for our growth as disciples of Christ. We are all members of our church family, and we do a lot of things any family does.
We take care of each other, we worship together, work together, eat together, and have fun together.
Throughout the year we enjoy numerous family events and programs that strengthen our family bonds and foster loving service among all family members.
Family is a large concept at Epworth.
By ‘family’ we mean the traditional family, and our families are made up of grandparents, parents, siblings, children, aunts and uncles. Many of us have step-parents, half brothers and sisters, and step-children. We are single, married, divorced and widowed.
In other words, whatever your personal family relationships may be today, there is a place for you in the Epworth family.
We also see ‘family’ as the family of Christ, for all persons are God’s children, and as Jesus said, “Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother” (Mark 3:35).
Living and loving as God’s family members brings spiritual health and vitality–again, family ministries are vital for our growth as disciples.
